Buckwheat flower is small and plain white, not glamorous. This simple flower has its own fluffy charm, but you can feel its real beauty when it is in a bunch on a wide plain field, fully blossomed. The best shot you can get in Waheul’s buckwheat flower field is the shot with the large trees and Hallasan as a background.

Imagine that you are standing in that picturesque landscape. Fully blossomed white flowers, Hallasan Mountain, the symbol of Jeju, and you. Could there be a better place to travel than this? In Waheul Buckwheat Village, you can also drop by the pop-up stores run by local people on weekends during the buckwheat flower season. Corn dogs, waffles, or tortillas made of buckwheat are waiting for you to enjoy a little snack under the cool shade after the photo time.

If you are looking for another unique place other than the ones with cool stones and white flowers, check out Susan-han-mot Pond, where Jeju’s green nature and clear water are in harmony. It’s a nice place to see Jeju’s beautiful nature and water, with a photo spot of a tree standing at the end of the pond.

Susan-han-mot used to have a long history of providing water for villagers, horses, and cows, but not anymore, and is now beloved for its amazing view. You can have a nice little walk around the pond. With the stones laid in a circle like a frame and the blue sky, you can get a nice picture from here. The biggest attraction that Susan-han-mot has is that you can also enjoy a picnic! Bite a little snack on a picnic mat and you will feel like you’re having a pleasant picnic.

Susan-han-mot changes its look every season. It changes its mood with purple radish flowers in the spring and warm silver grass in the fall. Now that it shows Jeju’s own green color, take a picture in front of a giant tree, and you’ll get a great picture of you looking like a forest fairy.

Not many people know there is another iconic mountain in Jeju other than Hallasan Mountain. With a crater looking like a horseshoe, Yeoungjusan Mountain is one of the top five mountains in Jeju. Walking on its gentle ridge, you will see great pastoral views like the Alps. At any angle, you can capture the liveliness and vitality of green pastures to the fullest. As keep walking up the path, you will meet the stairs to heaven, which is the main photo spot of Yeoungjusan.

The name “Stairs to Heaven” was given as it looks like it's connected to the sky when seen from below. Unlike the gentle slope before that, the stairs have a bit of an angle. But don’t give up and make sure to go all the way. You’ll find it worthy. Why? Because it’s a hidden spot, where you can see the bluest sky of Jeju more than any other season and a magnificent green pasture.

After the stairs to heaven, you will reach the observatory at the top. Wide green pastures, a distant wind power plant, and vast seas are all visible from the observatory. There is a small bench for you to sit down and enjoy the wind. There are not that many places where you can see the whole view of Jeju in just 30 minutes of a short walk. Grab your camera and visit Yeoungjusan before it becomes famous.
